Oh. My. God.
Last night, on our first broadcast on Indie Airplay Radio, we spoke about the minimum wage bill that, today, Senate Democrats stopped... something we had said would be a Bad Thing(TM) for Democrats in 2006 elections.
I wasn't going to blog this morning and afternoon, but then I read the article linked above and saw... THIS:
“It is an excuse to make it a do-nothing Congress,” Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican of Texas, said. “And we are turning our back on the middle-class and poor people in this country who depend on the minimum wage and death-tax relief.”
What the hell is this woman smoking? The "middle-class and poor people in this country" have NO stake in reductions to the estate tax. They get NOTHING from Paris-Hilton-tax relief. They NEVER have to "depend" on it.
I am sure this will be a Republican talking point throughout this election cycle. It is a talking point that MUST be demolished at EVERY opportunity if the Democrats have any hope of reclaiming the issue.

Hey, RWW? Making your archives list daily, so it seems you're long in the scheme, ain't kidding anyone that you are a new, untested twink.
And I made US$16K dumping some of my Apple stock, in front of their options problems yesterday morning. When I was your age, I'd already earned enough dough to go independant of "employers," and had bought Mom a house in Jersey.
Not bad for, as you put it, "an adolescent living in mommy's basement."
Hell, just for the tax writeoff I could buy the dorks hosting your "radio show."

Ah, our first real neo-con. When you can't attack the message, attack the messenger. Fine. Bravo for you, buddy. We're all real proud of a fine American such as yourself. [/sarcasm]
In any case, whether our archives are listed by date or by month, I knew it would be blatantly obvious that we are "new and untested" from the second I set it that way. So, -1 for you there.
Keep the jokes coming, sir. You amuse me.

Yo, lardass: You ARE the message. Funky little Brookyn bogart. It's what you're suppose to sell on your radio show: YOU.
I've bought dumber companies just to shut them down.

Using the standard right wing playbook attack modes. One of the more common ways to attack is to pretend you are "a wealthly stockholder" or "businessman", whenever someone calls them out as a little 19 year old living with their Mommy!!! Save it for your fellow pimply faced kids (all 2 of them) who read your stale blog. T.C, nobody in the fact based world, buys what your selling.
As far as the music on the stream, not our choice, we work for a company that promotes these artists. If It was my way you would be hearing Umphrey's Mcgee, Phish and String Cheese Incident. We have no creative freedom music-wise. We do not do a music show, so it does not bother us. Personally, I could not care less what you think of the tunes. IF you want to hear good music, listen to my live365 station "good vibes Radio".
