Reject these Democrats...

Baucus (D-MT)
Bayh (D-IN)
Dayton (D-MN)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Johnson (D-SD)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Reid (D-NV)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Salazar (D-CO)
Stabenow (D-MI)

I am appalled at some of the names on this list, but lo and behold, THESE are the 14 Democrats that voted FOR the flag-burning amendment. Three Republicans - Bennett, Chaffee, and McConnell - voted against it. You have my respect, and thanks for helping to prevent the destruction of what America stands for.

If you cannot stand for free speech, you are not standing for America; thus, I cannot stand with you.

Burning the flag is not be the wisest form of political protest; in fact, I think it's pretty pointless. However, stupidity is protected by the First Amendment.

*EDIT* Oh, and I hate, actually, many other Democrats. Should have clicked on this first. Political triangulation is a hollow beast when the media is all over you. Bad, bad Democrats. Instead of waving your flags by manipulation, why not wave your flags in support of freedom of speech? America is about freedom, after all...

Sadly, right now politicians are more concerned with keeping their jobs than actually DOING their jobs.

Vote them ALL out!

At some point...

...we have to acknowledge our role in the decay of our environment.

Flash flooding has plagued the Eastern US for the past week. Last week, it was D.C. This week, it's northeastern Pennsylvania. And don't forget the Massachusetts floods a few weeks ago.

Gee, what could be the reason for this? "Carbon dioxide - we call it life" my ass.

Military tribunals struck down...

So, the US must bring Guantanamo detainees to federal court or court martial. No kangaroo tribunals for you, Mr. Bush. Let's see just how guilty all these guys are...

On a side note, note the hivemind on our Supreme Court. The decision was 5-3 to eliminate the tribunal. Our three dissenters: Alithomascalia. The "Rob-" head to the Robalithomascalia hivemind had to sit this one out, as he had been on the "winning" side of the decision that the independant side of the Court has struck down.

I'd be willing to bet over half the detainees are ultimately found innocent.

"Hurry up, i'm about to go limp...awww..."

Rush is half the man he used to be.

It's almost too easy.

Why we need the Voting Rights Act

Texas, one of the states that has been subject to election-law monitoring under the VRA, based on past poor behavior, loves to talk up how they have reformed, and don't need the law anymore. Too bad we know better. As it turns out, Texas has, since 1982, had 107 state, local, and municipal proposed rule changes found in violation of the VRA.

If they get rid of this, say hello to a poll tax, people. It's going to be pay to play all the way...

Incompetence breeds waste.

The Supreme Court strikes again...

This time, they're telling Vermont that their campaign finance reform program is unconstitutional. God forbid a rich guy should not be allowed to give hundreds of thousands of dollars to a Republican if he should want to!

You almost never hear Democrats argue against campaign finance reforms the same way Republicans do. Since they have NO advantage on ideas, truth, honesty, accountability, etc., they have to take what they can get.

To hell with them!!!

Read about this ****ed-up incident here.

Have they figured it out yet?

The American people want a timetable.

According to a USA Today/Gallup poll, 50% of America wants us out of Iraq within at most the next year - 1/3 of that 50% want us out NOW. See that here.

General George Casey can get us out that soon, and still have us "win," if there can be such a thing in this mess of an occupation. In fact, he has proposed such a plan - one similar to a recent Democratic proposal. Of course, White House press-monkey Snow talks it down, because it's not the plan we're going to get. Read about this here.

Stay the course? What course? More like a walkabout...
