Two random stories...

Isn't the economy failing when coins lose their value? Well, it turns out that pennies and nickels are now worth more melted down than in minted form! Instead of, say, IMPROVING THE ECONOMY, it seems the government, under the ever-watchful eye of the W, will make it illegal to melt the coins down. Only in America.

For an international take on the thought police, read the tale of an Australian man who was pulled aside not once, but twice, by two different airlines in two different (and FOREIGN) airports - first by Qantas in London, then by Virgin Blue in Adelaide - for wearing a T-shirt with W on it with the caption, "World's #1 Terrorist".

When the Saudis speak...

George Bush, and his administration, listen intently.

As Jared posted yesterday, the Saudis are fully planning on funding the Sunnis in Iraq if America leaves. I'm sure the Saudis are eager to avoid national involvement in this conflict, as it will hurt its ability to produce oil and, therefore, profit. Jared pointed out that this signals that Bush will be "staying the course" as his "new direction" for Iraq.

Well, the Pentagon wants to "double down" in Iraq.

Surprise, surprise.

Dick Cheney's got a secret.

He knows who has been in his office. The Bush administration, however, doesn't want anyone outside their insular group knowing anything, and they're fighting to overturn a judge's ruling ordering the release of those records.

What are they really afraid of? When they speak of security risks, they're probably speaking about his JOB security. All those private meetings with energy executives? Not so private anymore, pal. Secret meetings with Jeff Gannon? Revealed!

As I have always said, if they have nothing to hide, they sure do a good job of making it seem like they do.

Read the Washington Post story, and the MSNBC one.

It's only illegal if you're an immigrant

Yesterday, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids on six Swift meat-packing plants led to the detainment of close to 1,300 potential illegal immigrants.

Stories are spreading about how the ICE segregated people initially based on skin color... if you looked like a Mexican, you were treated as one until you could prove otherwise.

Of course, while the illegal immigrants will be held accountable for being here illegally, the company that hired them ILLEGALLY has, so far, not been charged with a damn thing.

There's justice for you in the United Corporations of America... but only if you're a corporation.

Read the New York Times story.

Get well, Sen. Johnson!

Yesterday, Senator Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) suffered from a brain aneurysm, not a stroke, as far as most can tell. He had brain surgery last night and is reported to be in critical condition - a status that may change for the better in the near future, as the surgery was reportedly successful.

First and foremost, our prayers and best wishes go to Sen. Johnson and his family for his health.

The potential vacancy of his seat, of course, has got the Faux News guys salivating at the prospect of a return to NeoCon control of the Senate.

Read the Washington Post story.

EDIT: More Republican talking-head assholery. Not surprising in the least that none of them realize that what they are saying is utterly WRONG.

And, from what I have heard, Rush is so liberated that he is actually *gasp* not throwing in with the rest of them. I'll try to find a clip.

The second podcast is up!

Hey folks!

Jared's tossed up some interesting stories. Comments... anyone... anyone... Bueller? Bueller?

I hate the '80's. ;) However, I like the "kill for Jesus" game... as far as doing a segment goes, anyway!

OK, on to better things: Our second podcast is available on iTunes! Link on the sidebar there.

We had a mysterious "lost" show, the first Thursday after the election last month, when the Indie Airplay server and the Next Big Hit server were both down in some Republican conspiracy against us, with our George $oro$ big bucks and all. We shifted our show off to my Live365 radio station, Radio for King Chaos (Jared also has one - Good Vibes Radio - check them out to hear what is going through our heads when politics isn't), and went balls-out, kicking the NeoCons while they're down.

Enjoy!

Jesus Jihad video game!!!!

Pleasing the Saudis and enriching big business, we will not leave Iraq

Bush posponed his big Iraq speech until January but spoke today for a brief press confrence, proving how delusional the man is and how unlikely the possibility of leaving Iraq anytime soon.

With Saudi Arabia threatening to fund a civil war by supporting the Sunni it is clear Iraq will end in disaster. The Shia are uniting, Persian in Iran and Arab in Iraq, there is no goal for America to achieve in this war becides war profiteering and keeping the Saudi royal family happy, as more lives are lost and billions stolen. This murderous administration is shameful and today's press confrence is more of the same worthless garbage spoken by the leader of a crime cartel, stealing for big business and helping maintain the status quo for the dominant Saudis in the oil world.

A Democrat with a plan !!

Jared officially endorses Dennis Kucinich, and will not change his mind!!!! We anxiously await Ralph's endorsement. Listen and watch Dennis here:

So that's why Cheney was in Saudi Arabia....

So Saudi Arabia declared they will back the Sunnis in fighting in Iraq if America pulls back from Iraq. I guess we are never leaving in that case!!!

Tune in tomorrow night to indieairplay.com 10PM-Midnight(EST) for our next live show. On i-tunes search "evil liberal propaganda network" in podcasts, to subscribe!!!!

It's OFFICIAL...

Our podcast is now available through iTunes!

Right now, we have the "Michael Savage Hates Muslims" segment from November 30 available for download.

Soon, the "Victory Party! Part 1!" segment from the semi-unaired November 9 show will be available as well. Possibly as early as Wednesday morning; I'm still recording it for podcast now and it's just past 4am here, so bear with me.

As of Friday, we should have the first of the current segments available!

Creative Polls by Fox News's own White House Press Secretary

Among the vague answers and the repeating of Bush's new catchphrase on Iraq "the way foward", Tony Snow created an interesting "fact" by reciting some public polls which do not exist!
Quote from the December 12th press confrence:
Yes, the CBS News poll. What happens is, there is a fairly -- I apologize, because I'm going through -- just 32 percent thinks the U.S. should pull out significant numbers of troops in the next six months, 64 percent believes the U.S. should keep troops there longer. You put that together with 58 percent say that it's extremely or very important that the U.S. succeed in Iraq, and 60 percent believe that the U.S. can still win the war -- that's actually the Gallup Poll, but in any event, the point here is, when you're dealing with a situation like this, if you want to build public confidence you explain what's going on and explain how you intend to go forward. And that's what the President is going to do.

Funny neither the CBS poll nor the Gallup poll reflect Snow's quotes!!! I guess Tony is using his tricks of the trade from Fox news!!!!

Nice!!!!

Today's Republican media follies

We have a bunch today...

MediaMatters reveals more of the Neocon Spin on the Iraq Study Group. They're trying so hard to spin us dizzy; however, most Americans (79%) do not agree with Bush's "stay the course" solution for Iraq.

From ThinkProgress:

- The King of Falafel thinks that Kofi Annan should kiss the collective US ass for keeping him in fancy suits. I think Falafel Boy should kiss the collective US ass for the fact that he still has a job.

- Rummy admits that his leaving the SecDef job was due to the election. Take that, Bush!

- Last but best... Tony Snow disses Sen. Gordon Smith, calling him "emotional." Yes, you heartless fucking bastard, Sen. Smith has a heart and a soul... unlike you and the rest of your (un)kind.

Bush snaps at Durbin

"I'm the Commander-in-Chief and we will do as *I* say, Dick. You're just a senator. I'm the President, biatch! Talk to the hand!"

OK, maybe it wasn't quite like that.

Bush is certainly on his meds.

From McClatchy Washington Bureau.

Tom DeLay discovers the intarwebs!

HAHAHA

Go read his first official blog post! All those insecticides that he didn't want regulated have apparently rotted his brain. Either that, or he thinks Americans are largely a bunch of illiterate bastards.

Democracy on the march?

Or under the march?

Seems Nouri al-Maliki, "our man" in Iraq, may be overthrown soon.

From Yahoo/AP.

Kofi Annan's lessons...

Very interesting stuff.

From the Washington Post.

The end of Republican rule is here!

See what the 109th Congress did on the last day they could destroy our country from inside.

Apparently, the Republican minority infighting is getting an early start.

From the New York Times.

*EDIT*
More on the infighting from ThinkProgress.

Senator Gordon Smith (R-OR) has woken up from his dream world. He's coming out against Bush - on the Senate floor and on Stephanopoulos. Who will wake up next?

Also, Juan Williams bitch-slaps Brit Hume and Bill Kristol simultaneously.

And Senator Sam Brownback wants to see diplomacy.

To kill a dead man...

This is so amusing.

Kill Fidel? Isn't he practically dead right now anyway?

From the New York Times.

*EDIT*
Now with sound at ThinkProgress.
