Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet...

... nor dead of night will stay President Bush from looking through your mail.

Can the Congress declare signing statements illegal? OK, probably not. However, Bush has out-and-out abused the privilege at the cost of our civil liberties and Constitutional protections.

When they took away the first rights, we all shrugged, saying, "Well, 9/11..."

When they took away more rights, we felt powerless.

Soon, they will have taken all of our power. We must fight back NOW before they take away our right to fight!

-Ralph

The dirty little freak passed this quietly and it is up to the Democrats to put a stop to this. This is unreal. This demonic little freak is an enemy to America and, as of now, I'm calling for him to be peacefully removed from office. If you are not outraged, I don't know what to tell you!

- Jared

OK, we both got to it!

The week in media...

Mostly from MediaMatters:

David Brooks: Nixon pardon now "celebrated." Yeah, perhaps by W...

Pat "Nostradamus" Robertson is at it again. More terrorism, perhaps? Hurricanes? FEAR!!!

Sean Hannity "believes" in Iraq's WMD, but doesn't believe the Democrats in Congress will do anything about national security.

A Brit Hume guest claims that, like with the Nixon pardon, people will look back approvingly at the war in Iraq.

Best media clip of the day: Tony Snow says it's not W, but US who are "out of touch" regarding Iraq. (from ThinkProgress)

Rudy Giuliani: fake hero, real failure

Rudy Giuliani was a cartoon like hero following 9-11. The mainstream media literally shoved their tongue right up his crusty old ass. Wayne Barrett and Dan Collins, wrote a book which exposes how big of a failure and a fraud this psuedo-hero really was. Grand Illusion is a book all truth seekers must read. Giuliani did nothing to prepare NYC for a terrorist attack and he had 8 years to do so, following the 1993 World Trade Center attack. Thank you Barrett and Collins for speaking truth and actually researching the facts. Reality is quite different from the story-book world the main stream media shoves down our throat on a daily basis. Read more on this book here.

The "liberal" CNN and NY Times ignores history

Good piece here by John Collins showing just how credible the main stream media is, and what a total 100% hack job they did on the Saddam execution. Read it!!!!
The failure by the main stream media to report the facts is astonishing. I sometimes get redundent with the attacks on the media but every single day I'm more amazed by their lazy reporting.

More crying by the GOP

The cry-baby GOP now wants a "minority bill of rights'' in congress. The once drunk with power are crawling on their knees to the Democratic party for equality! Personally this is music to my ears!!!!!!

Saddam takes his secrets to the grave....

Which secrets? Just how complicit was the Reagan administration with helping Saddam secure chemical weapons during his war with Iran?? Robert Fisk reports in the UK independent. Not a single reporter in the main stream media will dare touch this. The broadcast journalism in America is a disgrace. They will NEVER tell you the FULL story. All they have to offer is a story-book vision of reality. This of corse, is the main reason Ralph and I scream into the microphone 2 days a week on indieairplay.com (Monday and Thursday 10PM-mid EST)
Be sure to tune in tomorrow, the show shall be informative and truthfull!!!!!!!!

Bush fires one across the bow...

Our glorious Decider-in-Chimp has managed to write something: an editorial in the Wall Street Journal. In it, he lays out his demands for the 110th Congress, such as...

"Now is not the time to raise taxes on the American people."

"It's time Congress give the president a line-item veto."

"[T]he Constitution leaves it to the president to use his judgment whether [bills] should be signed into law."

and...

"If the Congress chooses to pass bills that are simply political statements, they will have chosen stalemate."

I actually think the President does NOT need a line-item veto. What he needs is to be given bills that are not humongous packages of random statements, but clear-cut, well-defined bills that will show the American people exactly whose side he is really on.

Shady Eulogy by Pappy Bush

Yesterday, at the White House, Pappy Bush gave a very strange eulogy to Gerald Ford, making references to Ford's contributions to the Warren Commission on the assassination of JFK. Unfortunately, his contribution included doctoring the report to encourage the "lone gunman" theory above all others.Ford's word is supposed to be the end of the discussion, according to Bush. Why was this mentioned yesterday??? Guilt complex??? Pappy Bush lied at one point, saying he did not remember where he was when Kennedy was killed, yet he was there in Dallas that day. The complict media will, naturally, not point this out.

Cry me a river.......

Republicans are upset because the Democrats have decided to shut them out during the first 100 hours of congress sessions, waaa waaaa!!! The Democrats were treated as second class citizens by the Republican majority for 12 years. The Republicans ran the most closed government ever for 12 years, and now they are complaining for receiving the same treatment?? The GOP are a bunch of cry baby sissies, tough shit, cons. You made your bed, now lie in it!
