The Surge is coming!!!

However, the Iraqis are telling the U.S. that our time in their country should be drawing to a close. They want to rule their own country.

Will genocide happen? Possibly, although the Sunnis have enough powerful friends in the region that should help "persuade" the Shiites to not do it. This will happen regardless of when we leave, and regardless of the condition we leave it in, unless we install another Sunni dictator.

Mark Seibel, of the McClatchy Washington Bureau, shows further how Bush lies to the American people: he gives a distorted view of history by implying causal relationships that are entirely not there by leaving out key details that don't suit his policy. Sins of omission, indeed.

Meanwhile, Bush and Cheney give the world the bird:

In Bush's weekly Saturday morning radio address, he said, "Members of Congress have a right to express their views, and express them forcefully. But those who refuse to give this plan a chance to work have an obligation to offer an alternative that has a better chance for success. To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible." Of course, Bush doesn't acknowledge that there actually has been a plan put forth.

On Fox News, fanboy Dick Cheney showed up to declare that the U.S. has, "in fact,... made enormous progress" in Iraq.

Sunday night, in an interview on "60 Minutes," Bush declares, "...they could try to stop me from doing it. But I’ve made my decision." "Because I'm the decider, and I decide what is best for America."

Bush is a tyrannical despot who cares nothing for the will of the people when it disagrees with HIS will. You can freely elect a dictator...
