Weekend Media Roundup
The right-wingers went on a tear this weekend. Check out MediaMatters and ThinkProgress for all the insanity. Here, for your perusal, are what I consider the "highlights" of the wackiness.
According to the Savage Weiner, the "homosexual mafia" has conquered British "soccer thugs".
In a classic moment of projection, Man Coulter claims that the Democrats are the "racist[s]" who are stunned that Obama "can walk and talk."
On a Cavuto program, Bo Dietl (a man who gives a bad name to New Yawkers on a daily basis) tries to keep the fear of terrorism alive while explaining to an imam that he will have to accept being suspected of terrorism due to his religious beliefs.
More projection: CNN's Dana Bash claims that Democrats oppose the war to appeal to the "anti-war left wing" of the party.
Finally, one moment of GOP goodness. Yes, Virginia, they DO exist... Sen. Hagel (R-NE), a Vietnam vet, debunks Cheney's claim that Congress going against the president on the war and surge "undercuts the troops".
