The Giuliani love-fest begins!

As I await the arrival of the carpet cleaning service (YAY!), I will do some posting...

One fast trip to MediaMatters was all I needed, it seems. The Giuliani love-fest is ON!!!

Chris Matthews is apparently madly in hot boy-love with The Rude One. Three times in the past few days, Hardballs has been in full-on gush mode when referring to Giuliani.

First, on Imus, Matthews claims that Giuliani "got rid of the pee smell" from the subways and phone booths. What the hell is he talking about? The pee smell in NYC is eternal! He goes on to say that "the country wants... a little bit of fascism..." WHAT?! He doesn't think we have enough under Bush, I guess.

Matthews, though, cannot help himself on Imus' program. He rants, "I'm so sick of Southern guys with ranches running this country. I want a guy to run for president who doesn't have a fucking -- I'm sorry -- a ranch." OOPS!!! Wow, Matthews, you sure have a lot of anger and resentment in there, eh? He also calls Giuliani a "street-corner politician"; I think "street-corner idiot" is more apropos here.

He couldn't stop the campaigning, even off of the Imus program. On MSNBC Live, he continues kneeling before his master when he claims that Giuliani has "street cred" on security issues. How? He's neither directly nor singularly responsible for the decline in crime in the 1990's! Then, on his own program, he makes the "no more pee smell" claim again... and then goes on with the sucking-up: "He acts and talks like a president."; "He actually knows how to give a great speech." What kind of crap is this?

Imus is also, obviously, a member of the "drop and give Rudy some love" group as well. Imus claims that Giuliani is the only presidential candidate willing to "drop [a nuke] on Mecca."

The rest of the media has said nothing but positive things about Giuliani. CNN and MSNBC anchors get in on the fun.

Meanwhile, they say horrible lies about Obama, and blame them on Hillary.

If you still think the media is "liberal," you're clearly not paying attention to reality. They're going to sell America down the river in favor of ratings and deregulation... and, thus, profit.
