Bush responds to congress vote on Iraq spending Bill
The congress narrowly passed the Iraq War spending Bill which includes benchmarks and timelines for withdrawal from Iraq by March 2008. DEtails of the bill here: The Senate will vote on their version of the bill, which does not have a strictly set date for withdrawal.
Bush quickly responded with more lies about progress being made, veto threats, and Democrat attacks and of corse the old "democrats are undermining the troops" gag. Funny though, if spending gets stalled, it will be the President's veto that results in the stalling
