Attorney scandal revelations!

Monica Goodling blocked the promotion of Robin Ashton, an experienced prosecutor at the Department of Justice because of politics! Ashton was told "she believes you’re a Democrat and doesn’t feel you can be trusted." Goodling also adopted the practice of offering de facto political litmus tests to applicants to civil service level positions within the DoJ, asking them "Who is your favorite president?", and "Who is your favorite Supreme Court Justice?" She also disapproved of hires if they did so much as intern for a Democratic representative or judge! We cannot wait to hear this woman's immune testimony!

A fired US Attorney from West Virginia now finds himself questioning his own abrupt firing, a process which ended with a letter from Harriet Miers informing him that he was, indeed, fired. Interestingly, this guy seems like he was a loyal Bushie - perhaps, though, only up until 2005. Investigate a neo-con bastard, get fired: the policy of the Bush/Gonzales DoJ!!!

The Legal Times warns Bush and Gone-zo not to consider themselves "victorious" (of defrauding the American people and politicizing the DoJ?) until after Goodling testifies.
