So, is that "surge" really working?

Let's see:

Death squad killings are up for the month. The Iraqi Parliament has approved calling for an end to Bush's "security walls in Baghdad." More Republicans every day are moving away from Bush's policies. Generals are talking about revolting against the Bush administration if their "stay the surge" policy continues into 2008. Ret. Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton has made his own VoteVets ad, following in fellow Ret. Maj. Gen. John Batiste's footsteps.

Seems like the only thing Bush has accomplished is persuading the Iraqi Interior Ministry to keep journalists from photographing scenes of bomb attacks. The less we see, the less we realize that American sons and daughters are dying for a corporate coup on a sovereign nation.

It's too bad for Bush, though, that George Tenet will now cooperate with a Congressional investigation into the Niger uranium document - that fraudulent paper that launched this country into its occupation of Iraq.

That breath on the back of your neck, Georgie, is all that scandal catching up to you!
