Iraq: better now than when Saddam was in charge????

BBC reports:
Nearly a third of the population of Iraq is in need of immediate emergency aid, according to a new report from Oxfam and a coalition of Iraqi NGOs.
The report said the government was failing to provide basics such as food and shelter for eight million people. It warned of a humanitarian crisis that had escalated since the 2003 invasion.

I wonder if those war-crazy Bush hacks still think the Iraq people are better off without Saddam?

Side notes on Iraq:
In 2004, after the Olympics, the captain of the Iraqi soccer team spoke out against the US occupation in Iraq. Three years later, the Iraqi team has won the Asia Cup, beating the Saudis 1-0. Their captain has now also spoken out against the occupation.

Meanwhile, the only Muslim in Congress, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) took a trip to Iraq this weekend with a bipartisan group of congressmen. Speaking with some sheiks there, Ellison learned that they are concerned that "al-Qaeda is misrepresenting Islam"... something non-reactionary people have known all along.
