Best Of Thursday Night: Up in the Air
We are having extreme internet connection problems at the studio. We may not be able to broadcast a best of program. Check the blog in 20 minutes for an update. Damm cable company!!
UPDATE!!! Internet connection is back on, and I'm setting up. Should be on by 10:20-10:25 PM... Tell you what happened on the air. But, yeah, Cablevision is teh suck. :P
-Ralph
Extra-special UPDATE: If you can't see me in the chat room (which seemed to be the case Monday), please leave a comment here, so I can try an alternate browser - if it will make a difference, which it didn't Monday, but... whatever.

Jared, here's my response to your comment on www.youfilthyfilthypig.com:
Being passionate about important issues is one thing, but I think your hatred of Republicans and the broad brush strokes with which you paint all of us is misguided.
You said, "The most destructive and dangerous force against Democracy today, the GOP"
Do you really believe this? Do you really think that the GOP intends and acts to harm our country and our democracy? Obviously you do and sadly you're not alone in that belief. You know, you can disagree on policy without denying your opponent's humanity.
And what about radical Islamic terrorists? Do you honestly believe that Condoleezza Rice is a threat to our system of government, let alone a greater threat than Usama Bin Laden or the next fanatic who tries to bring a passenger jet down wearing exploding sneakers?
You see, the danger in your singular and rabid focus on Republicans and George Bush as evil is that it makes you blind to the rest of the world and forces you to reflexively dismiss anything proposed by someone who doesn't fit your radical ideology.
Republicans, conservatives and George Bush aren't always right. But our intentions are rooted in a love for America and the principles of our democracy. Of course liberals and conservatives and libertarians and socialists will all have different ideas of how to keep America safe and free, but we should look for some common ground when it comes to our intentions.
Part of what makes this city great is its people, but far too many of its inhabitants think the way you do. The hatred you have compares to any other form of bigotry. That's exactly what this website exposes and strives to change.

Jared, glad to see you are tracking down the fascists in your city.
Ralph,
I think the issue is with my computer only. It may be because I did some kind of java update recently and now both browsers show a red x where the chat dialog normally appears.

Yes, jared, thank you as well.
I took note of that blog's URL, particularly since the "Tranquilizer" continues to "disappear" my posts...
