The warrentless wiretapping issue was a very important one on the ELPN in 2007 and for patriots everywhere. It was confirmed this year that the Bush administration was defiantly circumventing FISA court warrants and it was also confirmed the Democrats are still cowards when it comes to standing up for the 4th amendment, when they gave the Bush administration expanded wiretapping powers temporarily this Summer. The NY Times reports how surveillance is expanding way beyond terrorism in America and how your local telecommunications provider is helping your government spy on you. Sure sounds like fascism to me.

The Bill that gave the Bush administration temporary expanded wiretapping powers is just about up, and the Senate debated the bill today, which did pass. The new bill did roll back some of the temporary unchecked powers, but also grated immunity to the phone companies that were aiding the Bush administration spy on Americans. Senator Dodd tried to filibuster his own parties bill and stood up for America's constitutioal right to privacy.

Retired Republican congressman Bob Barr points out another shocker in the world of surveillance in America, homeland security has been training fire-fighters to spy on Americans!!! This is the state of America today, slipping into a police state..........

Big Brother is here and Harry Reid has no problem ushering in a new America devoid of the constitution.
