NIE: Can the findings stop the march to Iran?

The new National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) released last week concludes with "high confidence" that "in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program." Washington Post reports on it here. This is further information that the globalists were intent once more on lying to the American people about another country's nuclear capability. Bush got called out on his insistence that World War 3 is around the corner, and all the administration's previous saber-rattling about Iran, at a press conference early last week. Bush claims "Mike McConnell came in and said, We have some new information. He didn’t tell me what the information was." So, the "commander guy" was never briefed on what the information about Iran was? Are we supposed to believe this?? This sounds impeachable based on incompetence alone. Only one problem... it's a lot worse than incompetence.

The agenda for the globalist is all laid out, and the Middle East is just a small portion of the overall power grab. What an NIE report finds is not all that important; it's just a temporary set-back.
The wing nuts have their marching orders and Norman Podhoretz (Giuliani's foreign policy advisor!!) and all the other neo-conservative nut jobs are out there trying to now smear the NIE!!! The crappy op-ed writer in the Washington Post, David Ignatius, called this all a "non-issue" and The Bloody William Kristol, says the halting of Iranian nuclear programs "is yet another feather in the cap for the invasion of Iraq"!!! Nothing to see here, except our leadership trying to scare the American people into another war based on another nation's non-existent nuclear arsenal !!!!! Even with these revelations, something tells me they will still manage to lie their way into another bombing and subsequent war and occupation.

Chris Hedges, writing for The Nation spells out exactly why we should not start an air campaign against Iran.

EDIT: Interesting. Rudy, on Meet the Press yesterday, said that war with Iran should be a "last resort." Let's see if that tune changes in the next few days after Podhoretz gets a hold of him.

And what do you think of Obadiah Shoher's arguments against the peace process ( samsonblinded.org/blog/we-need-a-respite-from-peace.htm )?
