Gonzales the fascist, Tony Snow the McCarthiest and Iraq a total mess!

Tony Snow: The McCarthyist
At Tony Snow's press conference yesterday, he went back to the old "question the war and you support Al Qaeda" gag! These people are degenerate bastards who hate the military!

Gonzales: The anti-constitutional, dictatorial fascist
Thanks to the Patriot Act, Gonzales is removing US attorneys and replacing them with his own appointees (Bush hacks, of course). This is unreal and reeks of fascism, as the appointees will circumvent the traditional Senate approval process. To make matters even worse, this degenerate anti-American freak does not feel the judicial system has any say in the war on terror.

Iraq: More of a mess than ever
Things are getting worse between the Iraqi government and America as a result of the US action in Iran. This is not good.

Today's media roundup

A little light today, but nonetheless potent. Aside from the O'Reilly piece mentioned below...

The Savage Weiner thinks that white males have a birthright that basically says that they are the preferred humans in society, and damn anyone who tries to take his "superiority" away from him!

The Fat Pig not only called Sen. Barack Obama a "half-minority," he also loaded up the bullshit cannon by being critical of Obama's lack of support for the "United States Saints" in their playoff game against Obama's HOMETOWN Chicago Bears. Rush, you and your Neo-Con masters (no longer liberated, eh?) have not given a shit about New Orleans since Katrina hit it; now, all of a sudden, you're not American if you don't support the New Orleans football franchise? Spare me.

Dinesh D'Souza, author of the just-released "The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11," appeared on the Colbert Report recently, and basically blamed 9/11 on FDR, using a causal chain that sounds like it was formulated by a retarded 9-year-old.

Though this is not media, I have to put this up here:

News flash from Virginia: Black people should just get over slavery already, according to Delegate Frank Hargrove. And we should ask that Jews apologize for killing Jesus, too. Can anyone say "WINGNUT"? I thought you could...

America's loss is Big Oil's gain

While we have been busy making sure that the oil corporations effectively steal the royalties they would pay to the Iraqi government, we've known for THREE YEARS that oil companies drilling in the US have NOT been paying their mandated royalties to the US government...

And we didn't do a damn thing about it.

ALL BUSH WANTS IS OIL COMPANY PROFIT.

Before anyone says, "Well, the Clinton administration screwed it up in the first place," I say, regardless of how it was wronged, if it is wrong, it should have been fixed by the Bush administration. By knowing about the problem, yet doing nothing about it, they must share in the responsibility. Who is more wrong - the person making the mistake, or those who know about the mistake and allow it to perpetuate?

Another disgusting Neo-Con

Charles D. Stimson, the deputy assistant secretary of defense for detainee affairs at the Pentagon, said in an interview last week that corporations should boycott any law firms that are providing legal counsel for detainees in Guantanamo. He went so far as to claim that lawyers doing this work pro bono are actually taking money "under the table" - insinuating that terrorists are funding them!

Who else besides me is sick of hearing of Neo-Cons saying disgusting falsehoods, only to apologize for essentially being honest about what they believe? It's like, "I said I wanted to kill your mother, and I was clearly serious at the time, but I've apologized, so that means I was just crazy, even though I don't like her and wish she were dead."

Some of their familiars in the media like to say that liberals want to create "a nation of sissies" or what-not. I say that bastards like Stimson are the biggest sissies, because they can never stand up and own what they say.

Bill O'Reilly is a sick freak.

Talking about Shawn Hornbeck, who was held captive for 4 years in Missouri, O'Reilly says that he "doesn't buy" "the Stockholm Syndrome thing," and that he thinks "there was an element here that this kid liked about" being KIDNAPPED.

You sick bastard. Do you have children? What if this was YOUR child?

One flaw I find in some Republicans: a complete lack of sympathy and/or empathy.

More more more, war war war!!!!!!

The neo-conservative freaks who pollute America's policy making have not quite gone away yet. The flunkie in a flight suit is still the commander in chief. Do not forget this for a second! With all the talk about the "surge" in Iraq, Gates, the new Defense Secretary, is forging ahead with operations in the Persian Gulf, sending a warning to Iran.

It sounds like the Bush administration is trying to create another Gulf of Tonkin incident, with Iran being the modern-day North Vietnam.

Israel is interested in fighting Iran; this time, America should stay out and let our allies defend themselves. Before you shriek, "The Evil Liberals are anti-Semites," think for a minute: why should Iran be our battle? We have already destroyed our military and drained the country's treasury dry with this Iraqi war. If a strike on Iran best suits Israel, let's stay out of it, fix our military and bring our boys home.

Back to the FISA court!

Well, the days of warrantless wiretapping are coming to an end. The Bush administration has decided to return to the rule of law and allow the FISA court to oversee domestic wiretapping and surveillance. Is this a step in the right direction towards the restoration of democracy, or does it have something to do with Gonzales testifying today to the Justice Department about this very issue?

*add-in*
Actually, it's not quite that simple.

Rep. Heather Wilson (R-NM) claims that this new agreement signals the likelihood that the FISA court will offer a simple blanket approval, and not approval on a case-by-case basis; she wants this investigated further.

And, in a USA Today editorial (sadly uncredited on the story), we are reminded that the government really has had the right to silently and warrantlessly monitor whoever they damn well please since the 1970's.

Is there anyone left who agrees with Bush?

The Libby trial is about to begin, and the jury selection has been impossible so far. The courts have been having a tough time finding a juror who does not have bias against the Bush administration. Surprise!!! With a 32% approval rating, this is no shock.

*add-in*
Is the New York Times creeping conservative? They quote a few of his "supporters," who are actually on the advisory panel of his legal defense fund (which, conveniently, they do not note), and friends from years past, while not quoting people who think what this man has done is wrong.

Thanks to all the podcast listeners! We had our best day ever yesterday... keep subscribing! Let's crack the top 150! And don't forget to listen LIVE tonight, at 10PM Eastern US Time, on Indie Airplay Radio!

What can one-half trillion dollars buy?

One-half trillion dollars spent right here at home could benefit America by basically eliminating poverty; instead, the murderous war profiteering scumbags used this borrowed money to create carnage, chaos and a civil war in Iraq. David Leonhardt of the NY Times explains.

No more profit in wars. This is the lesson to be learned. Tell your family, tell your friends: eliminate the profit in wars, and the world will be a better place for everyone.

Making the Sacrifice in Iraq

For those of you who do not know, my fiance is an Army officer in the reserves. While she finishes law school, she is working once a month for the United States Army in the human resources area in a N.Y. military base. After graduation, she will enlist full time. Is my fiance a conservative Bush supporter? Are her fellow officers and infantry? The answer is NO NO NO. My fiance is a patriotic liberal, enlisting for her compassion of others and her love of America. No, most likely she will never be sent to Iraq (and never into combat) but none the less I have a direct connection to this war. I'm going to be a military husband. We are making the sacrifice and if you ask any soldier at the base they will tell you exactly what Ralph and I have been saying: "Get the hell out of Iraq!!!"

This brings me to Bush. On the Lehrer show on PBS, Bush's idea of sacrifice by America is WATCHING the T.V !!!!!!! This man is a disgusting disgrace to the presidency and the country and is one of the dumbest pieces of excrement to ever hold office.
Read this amazing transcript:

MR. LEHRER: Let me ask you a bottom-line question, Mr. President. If it is as important as you've just said - and you've said it many times - as all of this is, particularly the struggle in Iraq, if it's that important to all of us and to the future of our country, if not the world, why have you not, as president of the United States, asked more Americans and more American interests to sacrifice something? The people who are now sacrificing are, you know, the volunteer military - the Army and the U.S. Marines and their families. They're the only people who are actually sacrificing anything at this point.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Well, you know, I think a lot of people are in this fight. I mean, they sacrifice peace of mind when they see the terrible images of violence on TV every night. I mean, we've got a fantastic economy here in the United States, but yet, when you think about the psychology of the country, it is somewhat down because of this war.

That is your president. This is the man who is running the most powerful military in the world. Are you sick yet?

Iran and Iraq: Closer to Unity

Regardless of what the Bush administration wants the Iraqi government to do, the Iraqi Shiite-led government is edging closer and closer to solidifying relations with Iran. America's raid of an Iranian consulate in the Kurdish region of Iraq did nothing to help the situation. How much longer will it be before the Bush administration removes Maliki from power? The Kurds are against the raid on the consulate and so is the Iraqi government. The Bush administration does not care about Iraq standing on their own, they care about Iraq doing what the neo-cons want. Sounds like another situation destined to create more chaos. This is just what the Bush Crime Family wants.

Today's show may start a little late, as I have a family obligation to attend to (happy birthday to my brother, Andrew, who was on the still-mysterious "guest host" show). We'll post closer to 10PM Eastern what the expected time will be.

Lieberman LIES again !

Bush's #1 political friend Joe Lieberman has decided the Katrina hearings he promised before the November elections are no longer important. To the people in the state of Ct. WHY DID YOU RE-ELECT THIS SPINELESS BUSH BUDDY???????? Newsweek reports.

MediaMatters roundup

Little bits and pieces for everyone...

Melanie Morgan, one of the KSFO wackjob hosts we spoke about on Thursday, is whining about MediaMatters showing the world what a vile piece of gutter slime she is. So, she's going to "fight back" against "a crank with a keyboard." There's an ARMY of us, woman. Good luck trying to bring every "crank" down. We'll be waiting for you.

Sean Hannity says the Democrats will not be happy unless there is "mass slaughter" in Iraq. There already is one happening, and it will worsen regardless of when we leave. Let's support our troops by getting them out of the crossfire.

We constantly refer to Glenn Beck as a tool. Two demonstrations, now, of his tool-hood:

1. The Democrats, specifically Sens. Kennedy and Clinton, do not really want their Iraq plan implemented because they don't want to be responsible "when" it fails. Note that he says Hillary had "no response" to Bush's war plan.

2. Beck has no clue that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens when he called former Rep. Herman Badillo (D-NY) an immigrant.

Finally, Rush Limbaugh uses racist imagery, describing Sen. Boxer's "attack" on Secretary of State Condi Rice as a "lynching".

The Surge is coming!!!

However, the Iraqis are telling the U.S. that our time in their country should be drawing to a close. They want to rule their own country.

Will genocide happen? Possibly, although the Sunnis have enough powerful friends in the region that should help "persuade" the Shiites to not do it. This will happen regardless of when we leave, and regardless of the condition we leave it in, unless we install another Sunni dictator.

Mark Seibel, of the McClatchy Washington Bureau, shows further how Bush lies to the American people: he gives a distorted view of history by implying causal relationships that are entirely not there by leaving out key details that don't suit his policy. Sins of omission, indeed.

Meanwhile, Bush and Cheney give the world the bird:

In Bush's weekly Saturday morning radio address, he said, "Members of Congress have a right to express their views, and express them forcefully. But those who refuse to give this plan a chance to work have an obligation to offer an alternative that has a better chance for success. To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible." Of course, Bush doesn't acknowledge that there actually has been a plan put forth.

On Fox News, fanboy Dick Cheney showed up to declare that the U.S. has, "in fact,... made enormous progress" in Iraq.

Sunday night, in an interview on "60 Minutes," Bush declares, "...they could try to stop me from doing it. But I’ve made my decision." "Because I'm the decider, and I decide what is best for America."

Bush is a tyrannical despot who cares nothing for the will of the people when it disagrees with HIS will. You can freely elect a dictator...

Bush loves the environment?

It's funny how things go.

The Guardian reported that Bush will announce an "historic shift" in his approach to global warming issues.

According to the White House, that just isn't so.

Actually, I disagree. The "historic shift" is it's historic that we've had a president who is this idiotic be able to rule this long. He's going to keep ignoring the scientists, taking it on faith that "God will provide." You know, if you slap God in the face enough times...
