Rudy: Always a fraud, all the time

Rudy Giuliani while making a speech at the NRA, received a "phone call from his wife", apparently he gets these "phone calls" from his wife at every other speech that he makes!! This is obviously a stunt, and it has occurred over 40 times. The only thing lamer than this stunt is Rudy's excuse , you guessed it "9-11"
What a hack.....

Speaking of Rudy .. A proposition to split California's electoral votes by congressional district, failed big time. "Take Initiative America.” was a group designed to finance this cause. The group was created by Charles A. Hurth III, a Missouri lawyer and a Giuliani donor. This conflict of interest caused the author of this proposition to re-sign. This was nothing but a dirty trick designed to split the electoral vote count of California up, so the winner of CA. in an election would not receive all 50 points., therefore benefiting the Repukes

Limbaugh update....

The Limbaugh remarks are now being discussed on the Senate floor!!! Today Harry Reid called on Republican senators to sign his letter to Clear Channel communications, condemning the remarks made by Limbaugh. Senator Harkin (D-IA) cracked a joke about the pig-man on the senate floor today! Speaking of Limbaugh, on Friday ( I missed this one) called John Murtha (D-PA) a phony soldier as well!! To top the story off is nauseating fashion, Senator Kingston (R-GA) introduced a resolution commending Limbaugh for his support of the troops!!

The March to Iran.......

Seymour Hersh's latest article highlights the repackaging of the Bush administration's rhetoric when it comes to Iran. He points out:
Now the emphasis is on “surgical” strikes on Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities in Tehran and elsewhere, which, the Administration claims, have been the source of attacks on Americans in Iraq. What had been presented primarily as a counter-proliferation
mission has been reconceived as counterterrorism.

Sounds to me that the administration is changing the justification to possibly attack Iran from the threat of Iran having a nuclear weapon to the idea that Iran is helping the "terrorists". Remember how many times the Iraq war justification had switched, from us being moments away from a nuclear attack by Iraq to" he gassed his own people", to "we are liberating and bringing them democracy". Knowing this administration's history of distorting facts and changing war rational one has to question the actual impact Iran has actually played in Iraq. Always keep in mind that Iran really is pushing for a friendly Shite alliance in Iraq........
Hersh, later in the article provess my point. He writes:

Maliki said, according to the Washington Post, that Iraq’s relations with the Iranians had “improved to the point that they are not interfering in our internal affairs.” Iran is so entrenched in Iraqi Shiite circles that any “proxy war” could be as much through the Iraqi state as against it. The crux of the Bush Administration’s strategic dilemma is that its decision to back a Shiite-led government after the fall of Saddam has empowered Iran, and made it impossible to exclude Iran from the Iraqi political scene.
He also points out :
Many in the present Iraqi Shiite leadership, including prominent members of the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, spent years in exile in Iran

So in other words Iranian interference may actually be helping the current Iraqi government! It is obvious Miliki does not consider Iran a problem and has close ties with Iran. As I have said before we actually helped Iran by empowring the Shites.

Hersh interviewed a retired CIA official for this article. This I find to be very interesting:

They’re moving everybody to the Iran desk,” one recently retired C.I.A. official said. “They’re dragging in a lot of analysts and ramping up everything. It’s just like the fall of 2002”—the months before the invasion of Iraq, when the Iraqi Operations Group became the most important in the agency. He added, “The guys now running the Iranian program have limited direct experience with Iran. In the event of an attack, how will the Iranians react? They will react, and the Administration has not thought it all the way through.”

So the CIA is being called to focus on Iran as a main priority just like Iraq in 2002, and to top it off it sounds like Bushies are being assigned in the CIA to work on the Iranian program!! Bushies with limited experience in their area of expertise...... and of course the administration is not considering what will happen and how Iran will react, just like Iraq. The results of bombing Iran will be much worse than the result of the Iraqi occupation.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, the former national-security adviser pointed out the worst in the
Hersh article.

Iran would likely react to an American attack “by intensifying the conflict in Iraq and also in Afghanistan, their neighbors, and that could draw in Pakistan.
We will be stuck in a regional war for twenty years.”

This is a great article, I highly suggest every one read what Hersh has compiled.

The Guardian is reporting on a similar theme that Hersh details. They describe the situation as a proxy war soon turning into a direct conflict. The Guardian points out that America is planning on establishing a military base five miles away from the Iranian boarder to block weapons smuggling to Shite militias.

To further ratchet up the war atmosphere Freedom's watch who had previously ran an advertising campaign supporting the surge, and has already released Ahmadinejad is a terrorist advertisements is planning on a full scale campaign against Iran. This group recently met with American Enterprise Institute members. The radical right has a whole propaganda machine ready to sell the threat of Iran, and all evidence leads to the high probability that this administration will try to pull this off before they leave office.

Bush: Forget about the children!!!

Bush has been threatening to veto a bill which would expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program. Repukes like Tom Coburn are claiming the "bill would lead to more government control of health care". The vile president and other Repukes pointed out the bill could could potentially let the state of New York amend its program to cover children up to four times the federal poverty level, or nearly $83,000 for a family of four.
The problem with that argument, $83K for a family of 4 in NYC is not exactly living the life of luxury! That income bracket could be considered Middle Icome in an area like NYC, where the cost of living is high. Repukes feel hard working Middle Income families without health care do not deserve it. Screw the Middle Class and of course screw the poor.

The proposal would increase the spending for the program resulting in coverage for an additional four million children. The money was to be raised by an increase in the tobacco tax. The bill passed the house with a 259-159 vote. 151 of the nay votes were Republicans!!! This is very important to remember because the House does not have the 2/3rd necessary to override a veto, although in this case the Senate which voted in favor of advancing the bill 69-30 did have the votes necessary to over-ride the veto. So in other words the veto can not be overrode.

U.S. Census Bureau figures released Aug. 28 show that the number of people without coverage increased to 47 million from 2005 to 2006. The increase is mostly a result of the decrease in employer coverage of health care. In other words, those who lose coverage from their job can not afford to buy their own plan. The S-Chip program does not solve the problem completely but at least it guarantees working family's children can be covered. Allowing those with slighly higher incomes to receive this benefit is the right thing to do, when you factor in the cost of a private health care plan and the cost of living.

Right wing elitists show no compassion for the poor, and they also spit on the Middle Class.

Limbaugh and the "phony soldiers".....

Recently on the daily indoctrination of the willfully ignorant seminar otherwise known as the Rush Limbaugh show, the pig man took a caller who happened to be an anti-Iraq war Republican. After declaring the caller "can't be a Republican",the myopic and exceedingly untalented freak took another caller who claimed to be an Iraq war veteran, who was in support of staying the course and not pulling out of Iraq. The ditto-head of a soldier then started complaining about how the media never interviews soldiers like him who are not in favor of ending the war but instead prefer to interview soldiers who object to the mission. Limbaugh declared these soldiers to be "phony soldiers"!! In other words, soldiers that like 70% of America no longer trust the administration and their Iraq occupation are "phony". In Limbaugh's world only Bushies are "real soldiers". Bushies serving in the military? Like Rush???? The only "war" Bushies and ditto-heads fight is against the imaginary "pro-terrorist defeatist troop hating left", a war of bumper sticker bullshit.
In response to this un-fair and un-American criticism by the Limbaugh, Democratic representative Frank Pallone (D-NJ) brought the comments up and asked "if Republicans who showed so much outrage towards MoveOn.org yesterday will hold Rush Limbaugh to the same standard".
No such luck with that, however the pig man was ready to justify his comments.

On the following day's instalment of the filthy propagandist's radio show, Limbaugh had an excuse all ready to go. He claims he was talking about one "phony soldier", Jesee Mcbeth, who never fought in Iraq, but got kicked out of bootcamp. Limbaugh is not exactly telling the truth, as Mcbeth is mentioned much later on in the conversation, not during the time Limbaugh talks about "phony soldiers", but around 90 seconds later. Limbaugh also cried about Media Matters(who first pointed this incident out) taking him out of context. He also uses a plural as in "phony soldiers", not the singular as in "phony soldier". Limbaugh indeed while in conversation with a ditto-head painted all troops that as the caller said talk to the media against the war as "phony soldiers". After a conversation about "w.m.d", Limbaugh turns back to the topic and mentions Jessee Mcbeth. This was around 90 seconds after they discussed "phony soldiers". Limbaugh actually replayed the conversation on his program, only editing out the 90 seconds in between the "phony soldiers" refrence and the mentioning of Jesse Mcbeth!!!!!! The pig man lies so much he has to edit his own transcripts to justify his own words!!!!!!

Harry Reid and Richard Durbin are calling on Clear Channel to denounce the remarks.
